( it's easier to fall to pieces when you're alone. he's learned that a time or twenty. he also knows how hard it can be to ask for help, despite that. so he's glad to agree to grant Wanda any time she needs. he'd have done the same, if the situations were switched. )

( Wanda seems the type to suffer in silence, it's good that she's admitting she doesn't want to suffer alone. he just wishes he knew why she was suffering at all. )

[ elektra takes a moment to make sure wanda's still in view, even as she remains on the line to matthew. she appears to still be resting on the couch, hasn't moved since elektra had retrieved her device to call matthew and inform him of what was happening. her voice drops a little in volume; matthew needs to know what's happening, but she doesn't want to wake wanda with their discussion of her. ]

She came over and I'd figured she'd seen something in one of the opals, so I asked her about it. She mentioned being able to see sunlight, that it comes and goes, and then asked if what I'd seen affected me. She asked if she could stay, I said yes and went to get her a towel, and then came back to find her scrubbing at her hands and trying to pull something out from her skin.

Her lantern, does it look normal?

( he's not really experienced himself and would have a hard time knowing if he had (he can't really tell if someone's lantern has changed color), but he's heard enough about it to ask. )

When you get a chance, check the color. They've been changing of late, anywhere from blue to red to green. And people seem to be affected by whatever color it turns.

( he can't tell her what those effects might be, though. might be something for someone to research. )

Okay. I'll take a look if it happens again. [ a brief pause while she checks wanda's lantern - right now, things appear ordinary, but that could be because she's asleep. ]
