( you're a complete liar she'd prank the shit out of him and we all know it, the real trick of it is going to be figuring out how to prank a guy that can smell sand in a railroad car. it'll be a battle of the minds, her setting pranks, and Matt having to think up seamless ways to avoid them
yeah, openly and visibly pouting doesn't do much to contradict the idea she's way too young to be working in a law office. the fact she isn't lying (truly and genuinely bizarre, that one) =/= her being a particularly viable candidate for the job. seriously, it has to be against labor laws, and he's never heard of someone so young getting certification as a legal assistant...
still, she's here, and it isn't as if they're walking out the door to court. what he needs help with most is the busywork, papers and organization. she may be young, but even she can do that... even though Matt feels obligated to call the temp office and make sure she's at least old enough for a job. he'll probably do that when she's out of earshot, though.
speaking of charming auras, Matt gives Maya a smile and nods at her nonsense, pulling back and idly fixing a tie that wasn't crooked in the first place as he does. ) I'd like to hear that story, ( if only because it sounds impossible, but hey. ) The work I have for you isn't quite as exciting, I'm afraid. Just need some help going through some records and police reports. It's just me in the office and I'm having some trouble keeping on top of things.
( Matt is forever playing up his blindness, but... in this instance, it's rather gratingly accurate. )
